Job Description:
The Guest Service Representative is responsible for providing great service to guests in a friendly and professional manner. You will follow LBA’s hospitality standards and help the hotel make more money by promoting and selling hotel services.

Requirements:

  • Must pass a security check because you’ll have access to guest rooms and property.
  • Experience in customer service, sales, or working with guests is helpful but not required.
  • Must be able to stand, lift, bend, learn, read, and communicate.
  • Able to push/pull 60 pounds and lift/carry 30 pounds.
  • Able to stand for up to 8 hours, stretch, and bend.
  • Must speak and read English. Knowing another language is a plus.
  • Must be honest and professional at all times.

Key Duties:

  • Greet and check in guests, give them their room assignments, and keep their information private.
  • Help guests with special requests when possible.
  • Promote and sell the hotel’s services and amenities.
  • Suggest the hotel to future guests and offer them reservations.
  • Handle guest issues in a friendly way, keeping a professional attitude.
  • Keep other departments informed about guest needs, like late check-outs or special requests.
  • Make sure credit cards are valid before the end of your shift.
  • Learn how to use the property management system (PMS) for billing and payments.
  • Help maintain a clean and professional hotel environment, including the lobby and dining areas.
  • Be ready for emergencies and follow safety procedures at all times.
  • Help in other areas if needed, such as food and beverage services.
  • Report any unusual problems or requests to the manager.

Other Requirements:

  • You will need to work evenings and weekends because the hospitality industry is open 24/7.
  • Be flexible with your schedule.
  • Maintain safety standards and report any dangerous conditions.
  • Keep the market area clean and stocked.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

  • You can move up by learning new skills and training others.
  • With experience, you may be considered for higher positions like Assistant General Manager (AGM) or General Services Manager (GSM) when available.

Working Conditions:

  • You will stand and walk for long periods while maintaining a friendly, professional image.
  • Help with laundry and folding linens as needed.
